These premium boom stands are designed with an advanced piston-type air suspension system to safeguard microphones in professional audio settings. The SB-36W model features silent-motion, ball-bearing swivel casters made of hard rubber, providing frictionless and vibration-dampening mobility. The two-piece horizontal boom assembly consists of 7/8″ diameter cold-rolled steel with a robust, die-cast, gyroscopic swivel mechanism and an adjustable 6-lb. counterweight, ensuring precise and stable microphone positioning. The tubing is completed with an adjustable mic holder swivel, featuring a standard 5/8″ – 27 thread to accommodate all microphones, holders, and adapters.
The vertical tube assembly comprises 1-1/8″ and 7/8″ chrome-plated cold-rolled steel, featuring a durable grip-action clutch for easy height adjustments and secure locking. The SB-36W model includes caster wheels, allowing for a height range from 49″ to 73″. Its triangular cast metal base with strategically distributed edge weight provides enhanced stability and is finished with an ebony epoxy coating and a chrome shell for a polished appearance.
