The VP410-S Unidirectional Vandal-Proof Baffle/Enclosure is expertly crafted for optimal performance with standard 8″ (203mm) speakers, fitting a variety of audio system installations. This model accommodates the APF Series flange mounting horn by utilizing the Adapter Plate Model FAMT-6. It is specifically compatible with the APF-15 8-ohm horn, but is incompatible with the APF-15T transformer version due to height restrictions. Engineered for durability, the housing is made from spun .090 tempered aluminum plate, ensuring maximum strength and rigidity for robust speaker protection. To enhance security, the rear edges are slightly regressed, allowing the baffle to be firmly secured against the ceiling. The grille trim ring is meticulously cast from a specialized, self-aging aluminum alloy boasting a tensile strength of 44,000 P.S.I., double that of conventional aluminum castings. For added protection, the speaker grille is fortified with a stainless-steel woven wire mesh screen, layered over a 21-gauge perforated CRS subplate. Final assembly employs flush-mount, heat-treated alloy screws that are countersunk to improve security, with a special wrench provided for installation. This model conveniently mounts to standard electrical outlet boxes via keyhole slots and can also be flush-mounted to the ceiling or wall using anchors (provided by others) for a more secure and stable installation. The baffle and housing feature a satin aluminum finish with a clear lacquer coating for a sleek and polished appearance.
