Model VP60R. This reinforced, protective baffle assembly is engineered for tamperproof, recessed installation of standard 8″ cone loudspeakers or APF Series re-entrant horns. For horn installation, an adapter plate, Model FAMT-6, is required.
The trim ring is crafted from aluminum alloy with a tensile strength of 44,000 P.S.I., and includes a 3/4″ shielding collar to safeguard the loudspeaker from physical impacts. The loudspeaker is securely mounted to welded studs located behind a 22-gauge CRS perforated plate. This assembly is shielded by a stainless steel woven wire-mesh screen positioned 3/8″ in front of the plate, providing direct impact protection. The mesh screen is further reinforced with a thick sealant bead on the interior to prevent tearing or bending.
This robust unit is installed using tamperproof heat-treated alloy screws (with a special wrench included) into designated enclosures. For enhanced security, the mounting holes are countersunk.
