Description
The AA100PHD is a versatile four-channel mixer amplifier specifically engineered for seamless integration into distributed business paging systems, background music (BGM) installations, and compact speech privacy solutions. Ideal for applications requiring music on hold (MOH) combined with paging functionalities, this mixer amplifier supports a diverse range of input sources such as paging microphones, media players, and digital music receivers, thanks to its one microphone/line input and two stereo line inputs.
What differentiates the AAPHD Series is the inclusion of an innovative, patent-pending automatic system test feature known as the Push Here Diagnostic (PHD). The PHD button is specifically designed to evaluate connected loudspeaker lines for wiring and impedance issues. Upon connecting all loudspeakers, the system automatically checks to ensure that the loudspeaker tap settings do not surpass the amplifier’s rated power, speakers are not mistakenly tapped at 8 ohms, and the wiring is free from shorts.
Additionally, the AA100PHD features a Remote Input Selection and Remote Level Control capability, empowering integrators to employ a remote wall plate (AtlasIED model WPD-RISRL). This allows users to select inputs and adjust volume remotely from as far as 200 feet away from the amplifier. Delivering 100 watts of output power to 25V, 70.7V, or 4-ohm loudspeaker systems, the amplifier is equipped with a rear panel DIP switch to create a Zone 2 output/output mix using any of the four inputs. It also provides the flexibility to mute Inputs 2, 3, and 4 based on audio signals from Input 1, making it suitable for paging scenarios where it’s necessary to mute other input sources during announcements. Input 1 and Input 2 can be configured as either Mic or Line inputs, with Phantom Power available as an option for microphone use.
