The AA400PHD is a versatile six-channel mixer amplifier tailored for distributed audio solutions such as business paging, background music (BGM) systems, and medium to large speech privacy installations. It is ideal for setups that require integration of music on hold (MOH) and paging functionalities. This mixer amplifier offers comprehensive connectivity with four microphone/line inputs and two stereo line inputs to support various input sources including paging microphones, media players, and digital music receivers.
What distinguishes the AAPHD Series is its innovative automated diagnostic feature, the Push Here Diagnostic (PHD) system. This technology allows users to conduct an automatic test of the connected loudspeaker lines to identify wiring or impedance issues. Once the loudspeakers are connected, the circuit checks to ensure loudspeaker tap settings are within the amplifier’s power ratings, that no loudspeakers are tapped at 8Ω erroneously, and verifies that the loudspeaker wiring is free from shorts.
Additionally, the amplifier is equipped with a Remote Input Selection and Remote Level Control feature, enabling integrators to use a remote wall plate to select inputs and adjust volume up to 200 feet from the main unit. The AA400PHD delivers a robust 400W output power into 25V, 70.7V, or 4Ω loudspeaker systems, with a rear panel DIP switch allowing for Zone 2 output mix configuration using any of the first four inputs. It supports muting inputs 2 through 6 upon signal detection from input 1, an essential feature for paging applications requiring other sources to be muted during a page. The unit incorporates selectable Mic or Line inputs with optional Phantom Power when used as microphone inputs.
