The Electro-Voice CPS8.5 amplifier is engineered specifically for the professional audio installation market, featuring eight independent Class-D Variable Load Drive (VLD) amplifier blocks. Each block is capable of delivering up to 500 Watts to either Low-Z or High-Z loads. By default, individual channels can be configured for maximum power output into 2-ohm, 4-ohm, 70V, or 100V networks without requiring output transformers. Prioritizing long-term operational efficiency, the amplifier boasts low current consumption and minimal heat dissipation. It also supports remote standby switching with just 5 Watts of usage in standby mode. With the optional RCM-810 remote control module, users gain enhanced control and supervision capabilities through IRIS-Net. This includes real-time monitoring of amplifier status and load supervision. Additionally, the RCM-810 allows for precise configuration of Variable Load Drive characteristics, enabling maximum power output for any load between 2 ohms and 10 ohms in 0.1-ohm increments.
