Description
The DPA1202 amplifier offers a dynamic combination of flexibility, performance, and sophisticated control, making it an ideal choice for applications that demand more than just superior audio. This network-based, DSP-controlled 4-channel amplifier can be configured in three different amplification setups to meet the specific design needs of any installation. Out of the box, it’s preconfigured as a two-channel 70V mode amplifier. For systems needing four channels of low-impedance amplification, it can be adjusted to a 4-channel model supporting either 4Ω or 8Ω load impedances. Many audio system designs require both low and high impedance amplification; this unit meets those needs by delivering 70V/100V for a paging/background system on a single channel, plus two additional 4Ω/8Ω amplifier channels for foreground stereo applications.
The DPA1202 is equipped with four balanced line inputs and an accessory slot for an optional 4-channel Dante™ receiver card or a 2 mic/line, 2 AUX input card, supporting a total of 8 inputs. All inputs can be mixed and routed to any of the four amplifier channels. Each channel features a suite of DSP tools, including level controls, EQs, limiters, high & low pass filters, and delay, providing exceptional flexibility for various applications. Key features include configurability for use as a 2-channel 70.7V amplifier, a 4-channel 4Ω amplifier, or a single channel 70.7V plus 2-channel 4Ω amplifier. It is network-capable with an onboard GUI, and DSP can be configured via GUI Site Manager Software, which includes network auto-discovery, fault reporting, input & output status monitoring, standby status, and remote activation through a scheduler timer.
The user interface supports assignable input and output level control, with mute assignments triggered via audio signal or contact closure, along with audio sense turn-on/off. The DPA1202 also provides four balanced inputs and an optional accessory card slot for expansion. It is compatible with PC, iOS, and Android devices, with output level adjustments and control available via front panel potentiometers or the onboard GUI. Wired remote level control simplifies user operation. GUI-based input and output level metering, along with assignable mute functions, can be accessed via computer, tablet, or mobile device through a web browser, with all settings offering password protection. The PC-based site manager software automatically searches the network for all DPA amplifiers, enabling single-click access and managing IP addresses, fault reporting, and input/output status. With its extensive local and network control configurations, the DPA1202 amplifier is a perfect fit for today’s sophisticated commercial audio environments.
