The Electro-Voice EVC series consists of versatile, two-way loudspeaker systems suitable for a wide range of applications demanding wide bandwidth, precise directivity control, and high efficiency, all within a compact, budget-friendly solution. EVC loudspeakers are acoustically tailored to integrate seamlessly with other EVInnovation models like EVF, EVH, and EVA.
The high-frequency section includes a 1¼-inch pure titanium dome compression driver attached to a rotatable constant directivity waveguide, ensuring uniform pattern control and a smooth, linear response. The low-frequency section features a high-output woofer, developed with advanced computer-aided optimization, offering low distortion, high efficiency, and exceptional clarity at elevated sound pressure levels. The passive crossover uses a fourth-order Linkwitz-Riley design with 24 dB per octave slopes, enhancing off-axis response and vocal clarity.
With their cost-effective design, EVC loudspeakers are ideal for numerous fixed-installation scenarios. Constructed from 15-mm plywood and protected with EVCoat, these enclosures offer enhanced durability. Multiple M10 rigging points and options for U-bracket or multi-mount style pan/tilt wall mounts provide versatile installation options, accommodating wire gauges up to 10 AWG. The input panel allows for optional covers with NL4-type connectors or weatherproof gland-nuts.
For 70V/100V configurations, an internal landing pad on the input panel accommodates EV’s high-quality TK150 audio transformer. Integrating the TK150 activates EV’s patented Automatic Saturation Compensation (ASC), ensuring consistent low-frequency performance and stable amplifier load, regardless of the number of connected loudspeakers. Consequently, transformer and non-transformer EVC models deliver virtually indistinguishable audio performance.
