Electro-Voice EVC loudspeakers offer versatile audio solutions for applications demanding broad bandwidth, precise vertical and horizontal directivity, and high efficiency—all within a compact and economical package. These loudspeakers are engineered to align with the acoustic characteristics of other EVInnovation models like the EVF, EVH, and EVA series.
The high-frequency unit of the EVC series utilizes a 1.25-inch pure titanium dome compression driver, directly attached to a rotatable constant directivity waveguide, ensuring consistent pattern control and a smooth, linear audio response. The low-frequency section features an advanced high-output woofer, developed with cutting-edge computer-aided optimization, to deliver low distortion, high efficiency, and clear intelligibility even at elevated sound pressure levels. The passive crossover deploys a fourth-order Linkwitz-Riley design with 24 dB per octave slopes, optimizing off-axis performance and enhancing definition within the critical vocal range.
The EVC series provides an extremely cost-effective, yet robust solution for a variety of fixed-installation audio applications. Constructed with durable 15-mm plywood and finished with EVCoat, these loudspeakers are designed for longevity. They offer multiple M10 rigging points and options for an optional U-bracket or multi-mount pan/tilt wall mount. The EVC series accommodates wire gauges up to 10 AWG, and the input panel can be equipped with optional covers that include NL4-type connectors or weather-resistant gland-nuts.
For 70V/100V applications, the input panel includes an internal landing pad to install EV’s high-performance TK150 audio transformer. Integrating the TK150 transformer enables EV’s patented Automatic Saturation Compensation (ASC), ensuring consistent low-frequency output while maintaining a stable load on the amplifier, irrespective of how many loudspeakers are connected in parallel. This innovation assures that transformer and non-transformer EVC loudspeakers deliver virtually identical sound quality.
