Electro-Voice’s EVC loudspeakers are versatile two-way systems designed for a wide array of applications where broad bandwidth, exceptional directivity control both vertically and horizontally, and high efficiency are essential in a compact and budget-friendly package. These loudspeakers are specifically tuned to integrate seamlessly with other models in the EVInnovation family such as EVF, EVH, and EVA.
The high-frequency component of EVC loudspeakers includes a 1¼-inch pure titanium dome compression driver, directly connected to a rotatable constant directivity waveguide, ensuring consistent pattern control and a smooth, linear response. In the low-frequency realm, a high-output woofer engineered with advanced computer-aided optimization is utilized to achieve minimal distortion, superior efficiency, and maximum intelligibility at elevated sound pressure levels. The passive crossover infrastructure employs a fourth-order Linkwitz Riley design with 24 dB per octave slopes, enhancing off-axis response and defining the critical vocal frequency range.
EVC series loudspeakers offer a highly economical solution for numerous fixed-installation scenarios. Constructed from robust 15-mm plywood and finished with EVCoat, these loudspeakers are designed to last. They come equipped with multiple M10 rigging points and options for U-bracket or multi-mount pan/tilt wall mount attachments. The series accommodates wire gauges up to 10 AWG, and the input panel is compatible with optional covers featuring NL4-type connectors or weatherproof gland-nuts.
For 70V/100V operations, the input panel includes an internal landing pad for integrating Electro-Voice’s premium TK150 audio transformer. Incorporating the TK150 in the input panel activates the patented Automatic Saturation Compensation (ASC), which preserves low-frequency performance and ensures a stable amplifier load, regardless of the number of loudspeakers connected in parallel. This technology allows transformer-equipped and non-transformer EVC loudspeakers to deliver virtually identical sound quality.
