Electro-Voice EVC loudspeakers offer versatile sound solutions ideal for diverse environments requiring wide bandwidth, precise vertical and horizontal directivity control, and high efficiency within a compact and cost-effective design. The EVC series is acoustically matched to complement other EVInnovation models like EVF, EVH, and EVA. The EVC-1122/VI stands out with its variable intensity (VI) configuration, where a front-facing woofer at a downward angle, combined with an asymmetrical waveguide, provides even coverage across a designated rectangular audience space with a single speaker setup. This design minimizes sound level variation from the front to the back of the audience compared to more traditional point-source solutions, creating an almost uniform sound experience throughout the coverage area.
The EVC-1122/VI excels in delivering clear, articulate speech reproduction and is equally suited for high-quality foreground music applications. It can function as a standalone full-range system or serve as the mid-bass/high-frequency component in multi-way systems when paired with the EVC-1181S 18″ subwoofer. The high-frequency driver is a sophisticated 1ΒΌ-inch pure titanium dome compression unit, integrated with a compound waveguide that merges long-throw and short-throw capabilities for consistent pattern control and a smooth, linear response.
For the low-frequency section, a high-output woofer, developed with advanced computer-aided optimization, ensures low distortion, high efficiency, and exceptional clarity at elevated sound pressure levels. The passive crossover uses a fourth-order Linkwitz Riley design with 24 dB per octave slopes to enhance off-axis response and improve vocal range definition.
