Description
Electro-Voice EVC loudspeakers are versatile, two-way audio systems designed for a wide range of sound reinforcement applications requiring broad bandwidth, precise vertical and horizontal directivity control, and high efficiency, all in a compact and cost-efficient design. These loudspeakers are expertly tuned to integrate seamlessly with other models from the EVInnovation series, such as EVF, EVH, and EVA.
The high-frequency section of EVC loudspeakers is engineered with a 1ΒΌ-inch pure titanium dome compression driver that is directly coupled to a rotatable constant directivity waveguide. This design ensures consistent pattern control and a smooth, linear frequency response. The low-frequency section incorporates a high-output woofer optimized through advanced computer-aided techniques, delivering low distortion, high efficiency, and exceptional intelligibility at elevated sound pressure levels. The passive crossover network utilizes a fourth-order Linkwitz-Riley design with 24 dB per octave slopes, ensuring smooth off-axis response and enhanced clarity throughout the vocal range.
The EVC series offers an economical solution for various fixed-installation projects. The enclosures are constructed from 15-mm plywood and coated with a durable EVCoat finish. They feature multiple M10 rigging points and additional attachment options for an optional U-bracket or multi-mount style pan/tilt wall mount. EVC loudspeakers accommodate wire gauges up to 10 AWG, with input panels that can accept covers with NL4-type connectors or weather-resistant gland-nuts.
For 70V/100V installations, the input panel is equipped with an internal landing pad for integrating a high-quality TK150 audio transformer. Installing a TK150 activates Electro-Voice’s patented Automatic Saturation Compensation (ASC) technology, which maintains low-frequency performance while ensuring a stable load to the amplifier, regardless of the number of parallel-connected loudspeakers. This results in EVC loudspeakers with both transformer and non-transformer options that deliver virtually identical audio performance.
