The Electro-Voice EVID-C4.2LP is an ultra-compact two-way ceiling speaker system designed for versatile audio applications. This system features a bezel assembly, grille, rear enclosure, and a 4-inch coaxial two-way speaker paired with an internal line-matching transformer. Equipped with a waveguide-coupled titanium coated dome tweeter, the speaker system incorporates a 2nd order crossover network set at 2.5 kHz. This design includes an advanced protection circuit to safeguard the network, woofer, and tweeter from excessive power levels. The EVID-C4.2LP is engineered with a transformer providing wattage options of 1.88 (70-V only), 3.75, 7.5, or 15 watts via 70-V or 100-V lines, as well as an 8-ohm bypass option. Selection is conveniently made using a switch on the front baffle. The speaker showcases a perforated grille with a semi-gloss white powder-coated enamel finish. Constructed from UL 94V-0 rated ABS, the baffle and bezel ensure durability, while the rear enclosure boasts zinc-plated, heavy-gauge steel construction. Its low-profile design facilitates installation in tight spaces, with easy access to a 4-pin terminal block for 12-gauge wire connections and pass-through to additional speakers. A tile bridge is included to safely suspend the EVID-C4.2LP within drop ceilings composed of mineral wool or other fiber-based tiles. Designed as a part of the EVID ceiling speaker line, these speakers deliver broad dispersion, high efficiency, and high-maximum output, ensuring seamless installation and superior reproduction of music and voice across varied ceiling constructions.
