The Electro-Voice EVID-C6.2 ceiling loudspeaker system is a versatile two-way audio solution designed for optimal sound performance. This comprehensive package includes a bezel assembly, grille, rear enclosure, 6.5-inch coaxial two-way speaker, and an internal line-matching transformer. At its core, the loudspeaker is equipped with a waveguide-coupled, titanium-coated dome tweeter for enhanced audio clarity. It incorporates a 2nd order crossover network at 2.5 kHz and boasts an advanced protection circuit to safeguard the network, woofer, and tweeter from excessive power. The EVID-C6.2 offers transformer power options, selectable through a front baffle switch, allowing configurations of 1.88 (70-V only), 3.75, 7.5, 15W, or 30 watts for use with either 70-V or 100-V lines, or an 8 ohm bypass. The loudspeaker’s grille features a durable semi-gloss white powder-coated enamel finish, while the baffle and bezel are made from UL 94V-0 rated ABS for added safety.
Its rear enclosure is crafted from zinc-plated, heavy gauge steel, designed for easy installation in confined spaces. The rear cover accommodates a junction box fitting and provides a 4-pin terminal block, facilitating direct connection to the speaker using 12 gauge wire and allowing passthrough to additional units. A tile bridge is included to ensure secure installation of the EVID-C6.2 ceiling systems in drop ceilings that use mineral wool or other fiber-based tiles.
