The EVOLVE 50 Portable Column System is a high-performance, three-component loudspeaker system equipped with a robust 1000 W Class-D amplifier and powered by Electro-Voice’s advanced QuickSmartDSP technology. This sound system includes a 15 mm wooden, ported, powered subwoofer enclosure featuring a 12-inch subwoofer, delivering impressive low-frequency output down to 37 Hz.
A key design feature is the bidirectional aluminum pole, which connects to the subwoofer using a magnetic lock, while the column array is held securely in place by gravity. This integrated system efficiently routes the audio signal internally. The column array boasts eight 3.5-inch neodymium drivers combined with the 12-inch subwoofer, achieving sound pressure levels up to 127 dB SPL. The configuration includes eight composite waveguides for high-frequency management, offering 120 degrees of horizontal coverage and 40 degrees of asymmetrical (downward-facing) vertical coverage. This ensures optimal audio performance for both seated and standing audiences. For easy transport, the sub pole and column array are conveniently packaged in a carrying bag.
The system’s processing engine simplifies setup with four distinct presets—Music, Live, Speech, and Club—and offers a three-band EQ, five user-programmable presets for storing and recalling settings, output delay, phantom power (+15V), visual monitoring of limiter status, input level control and meters, and master volume control, ensuring a precise gain structure. The innovative Electro-Voice QuickSmart Mobile application leverages Bluetooth Low Energy (BTLE) technology for wireless configuration, control, and monitoring of up to six EVOLVE 50 systems simultaneously. Additionally, high-resolution Bluetooth audio streaming enhances convenience for wireless music playback in various settings such as breakout rooms, intermissions, and musical accompaniments. Bluetooth functionality is available in select regions.
