The Electro-Voice ® EVID C8.2LP loudspeaker system offers a complete two-way ceiling audio solution in a sleek, low-profile design. This comprehensive package includes a bezel assembly, grille, rear enclosure, an 8-inch coaxial two-way loudspeaker, and an integrated line-matching transformer. The speaker is equipped with a waveguide-coupled titanium-coated dome tweeter for exceptional sound clarity. It employs a 2nd order crossover network at 2.5 kHz and features an advanced protection circuit to shield the network, woofer, and tweeter drivers from power surges. The C8.2LP loudspeaker is designed with a versatile transformer, allowing for wattage selection of 1.88 (70-V only), 3.75, 7.5, 15, or 30 watts. These can be delivered through either 70-V or 100-V lines, or an 8 ohm bypass, adjustable via a user-friendly switch on the front baffle. The perforated grille is coated with semi-gloss white powder-enamel, while the baffle and bezel are made from UL 94V-0 rated ABS. Constructed from zinc-plated, heavy-gauge steel, the rear enclosure is designed for easy installation in confined spaces. A rear cover accommodates junction box fittings and provides access to a 4-pin terminal block, facilitating direct speaker connections with 12-gauge wire and pass-through capabilities to additional speakers. The included tile bridge ensures secure suspension in drop ceilings using mineral wool or other fiber-based tiles. Designed as part of the EVID series, these ceiling speakers deliver wide dispersion, high efficiency, and high maximum output, ensuring easy installation and exceptional wide-range reproduction of music and voice across various ceiling configurations.
