The Atlas Sound FA138T167 is a top-tier 8″ coaxial loudspeaker designed for superior audio performance. It comes with a factory-installed, high-efficiency 16-watt 70.7V transformer. This loudspeaker features a circuit board mounted high-pass/low-pass crossover, ensuring exceptional sound quality. The FA138 model incorporates a reinforced polypropylene cone woofer, a custom butyl rubber surround, a 1 1/2″ vented Kapton voice coil, a 21 oz. magnet, and a 1/2″ mylar-dome ferrofluid-cooled tweeter, delivering clear and powerful weather-resistant sound. The integrated 16-watt 70.7V transformer offers a frequency response of 40Hz to 15kHz (+/- 1 dB) and provides 4, 8, and 16-watt primary taps. For optimal acoustic versatility, the Strategy Series is engineered as a system, compatible with FA97-8 Series high-performance enclosures (.22 ft³) featuring acoustic batting, as well as the economy FA95-6 Series (.17 ft³) backbox enclosures. The enclosures are designed for easy ceiling installation, requiring just a screwdriver to adjust the rotating clamps. The loudspeakers can also be mounted on ceilings or walls in shallow spaces with the use of the plaster ring Model FAPR-8 instead of an enclosure.
