Description
Engineered to deliver exceptional performance in a compact size, the FAP40T is a favorite among system designers and architects. This speaker is perfect for high-intelligibility voice, music, and signal reproduction across various commercial, industrial, and institutional environments. It features an innovative (patent pending) tap selector switch that simplifies system tuning. The product offers a full range of taps up to 16 watts, with an 8-ohm transformer bypass setting for ultimate flexibility in system configurations. The switch “knob” doubles as a diffuser cone, ensuring smooth, even dispersion of high-frequency audio from the center of the 4″ polypropylene driver. The speaker’s high-frequency response is remarkably natural, often leading users to believe it features a coaxial design rather than a single cone driver. Enhanced low-frequency response is achieved through a tuned and ported enclosure design. Constructed from high-impact injection-molded plastic with a press-fit grille, the enclosure seamlessly complements contemporary architectural styles. A two-pole terminal strip, located beneath a metal removable cover on the back, facilitates easy system wiring and daisy-chaining to other FAP40T speakers or FASUB70 subwoofers—a highly effective combination. Additional features include a 16-watt internal transformer, lightweight construction that eliminates the need for extra support in drywall ceilings, a low-profile plastic enclosure, a tile bridge, and a tuned and ported design for extended bass response.
