Description
The Model FAP6260T Coaxial Ceiling Speaker represents the next generation in the Strategy Series, delivering exceptional high fidelity sound in an aesthetically pleasing and easy-to-install package. Designed specifically for industry professionals, this high-performance audio solution is ideal for a range of commercial music and public address settings. The speaker features a compact profile enclosure, 60° narrow dispersion, and a 60-watt transformer, making it an excellent choice for applications with higher ceilings. Constructed with premium materials, it includes a high-efficiency paper composite woofer with rubber surround and a 20mm coaxially mounted silk dome tweeter. Its high sensitivity allows for achieving the desired sound pressure level with less power. These speakers come pre-assembled with an optimally tuned and ported enclosure and include a specially engineered low saturation 70.7V/100V transformer. Installation simplicity is enhanced with a front-mounted switch for tap selection, eliminating the need to remove the speaker from the ceiling. Featuring a detachable Phoenix-style locking four-pole connector, it facilitates easy daisy chain wiring to additional full-range speakers or subwoofers. With a sleek, low-profile press-fit grille, the speaker seamlessly complements modern architectural designs.
Installation is streamlined with Strategy Series II style “dog leg” tabs, allowing for hassle-free integration into drop tile or drywall ceilings using the provided tile bridge assembly. The tile bridge includes two triangular formed mounting rails and a c-ring assembly, allowing for c-ring attachment and extended support to the T-bar grid in suspended ceiling setups. Multiple hole locations on the c-ring accommodate various positioning needs, right up to the outer edge of the tile if required. For installations in existing dry-wall, the tile bridge c-ring and support rails can easily be inserted into pre-cut holes. The “V” shaped support rails align with the shape of the c-ring tabs, ensuring easy maneuvering and accurate placement, even in challenging blind spaces above the ceiling deck.
