The FAP62T coaxial ceiling speaker package is expertly crafted to meet the demands of professionals in the audio installation industry, including owners, architects, contractors, and consultants. With its compact profile enclosures and wide dispersion, the FAP62T is an ideal choice for environments with low ceilings. The speaker components rival the performance of the renowned Strategy Series II loudspeakers. Constructed with high-quality materials, the 1″ voice coil drivers feature polypropylene cones with butyl rubber surrounds, while the 19mm coaxially mounted tweeter is made from durable PEI. The speaker’s high sensitivity means less power is required to achieve the desired Sound Pressure Level (SPL).
These loudspeakers are factory-assembled into an optimally tuned and ported deep drawn enclosure and include a low-saturation 70.7V/100V transformer designed for optimum performance. A convenient front-mounted switch allows for easy tap selection without removing the speaker from the ceiling. The unique “easy access” input panel supports “thru” conduit runs using flexible or rigid conduit, and the detachable Phoenix-style, locking four-pole connector facilitates easy daisy-chain wiring to other full-range loudspeakers or subwoofers. The attractive press-fit grille seamlessly integrates with contemporary architectural designs.
Installation is simplified with a “dog leg” mounting system compatible with drop tile or drywall ceilings, using the provided tile bridge assembly. The tile bridge includes two triangular mounting rails and a c-ring assembly, which can be positioned for maximum support. For existing drywall applications, the tile bridge, c-ring, and support rails can be maneuvered into the ceiling cutout. The “V” shaped support rails ensure easy positioning, even when working blindly above the deck. For new construction drywall ceilings, the optional FAP62-TR trim ring is available, marking the installation location and reserving the desired ceiling space. Mounting holes accommodate 16″ or 24″ OC stud/joist spacing.
