The AtlasIED IP-12SYSM is a 1’ x 2’ suspended ceiling mount IP speaker equipped with talkback capabilities, specifically designed for environments requiring robust VoIP communication solutions. These speakers enhance tele-presence through superior audio output, making them ideal for spaces with high ambient noise or large areas demanding network-wide communication. The AtlasIED IP-12SYSM integrates seamlessly as a communication endpoint with InformaCast and Revolution Advanced Notification applications, allowing for improved physical security and efficient daily communications through features such as advanced alerting, bell schedules, pre-recorded and scheduled announcements, and intercom services over WAN/LAN network structures.
In Cisco environments, these IP speakers are compatible with Cisco’s Unified Survivable Remote Site Telephony (SRST), acting as a supported device within the SRST endpoint architecture. This integration provides call-processing redundancy for remote locations during WAN outages, especially crucial during emergencies. In scenarios where third-party notification applications are unnecessary, the IP-12SYSM speakers can register directly as SIP devices with a SIP server or VoIP Communications Manager for essential alerts and public address functions.

The IP-12SYSM features an 8″ coaxial speaker designed for superior voice clarity, protected by an 18-gauge metal grill ensuring durability in commercial settings, with a 22-gauge perforated metal screen enhancing performance. The speaker is finished in a neutral white electrostatic powder coat. Integrated with an omnidirectional electret condenser microphone, the speakers allow for two-way communication and monitoring from any PC or phone handset.
These speakers are factory assembled, featuring a speaker, grill, and PCB amp/control board securely mounted to the grill. The IP-12SYSM also includes capabilities for auto-provisioning and auto-registration, streamlining configuration within a Voice VLAN akin to a VoIP phone. Sharing the same Quality of Service (QoS), both VoIP phones and IP speakers ensure consistent and secure communication. Additionally, the speakers are equipped with GPI/O ports for triggering critical alerts and integrating with third-party systems.
