Description
The AtlasIED IP-22SYSM is a 2′ x 2′ suspended ceiling mount network speaker featuring an integrated microphone. This IP speaker enhances Unified Communications (VoIP Communications) investments by integrating with both on-premises and hosted infrastructure platforms, enabling the dissemination of information beyond traditional desktop telephony and breaking conventional audio-path barriers.
### Applications
The IP-22SYSM functions as a communication endpoint in advanced notification systems such as InformaCast, GCK, and Syn-Apps’ Revolution. This capability supports audio broadcasts that enhance physical security while improving daily communications through sophisticated alerting, bell schedules, and pre-recorded or scheduled announcements, leveraging the WAN or LAN network architecture.
In Cisco environments, the IP-22SYSM can join Cisco’s Unified Survivable Remote Site Telephony (SRST) as a compatible device, providing call-processing redundancy for remote locations during WAN outages. This ensures continuous LAN communication between phones and speakers, which is particularly crucial during emergencies, potentially caused by a WAN disruption.
When third-party notification applications are not needed, the IP-22SYSM can be registered as SIP devices directly with a SIP server or VoIP Communications Manager, facilitating critical alerts and public address functions.
