Description
AtlasIED IP-SM indoor wall and ceiling mount IP speakers with talkback maximize VoIP Communication capabilities to provide telepresence-enhanced audio, ideal for network-wide communication in areas with high ambient noise or expansive spaces. These advanced IP speakers seamlessly integrate as communication endpoints within InformaCast and SA-Announce Advanced Notification platforms, delivering audio broadcasts that bolster physical security and streamline daily communications. They support advanced alerting, bell schedules, and scheduled announcements via the WAN/LAN Network Architecture.
In a Cisco environment, AtlasIED IP speakers integrate with Cisco’s Unified Survivable Remote Site Telephony (SRST), providing call-processing redundancy during WAN outages. This ensures reliable LAN communication between phones and speakers, which is crucial during emergencies. For scenarios where third-party notification applications are unnecessary, the IP-SM+ speakers can be registered as SIP devices directly to a SIP server or VoIP Communications Manager, suitable for critical alerts and public address applications.
These IP speakers are perfect for corporate settings, educational institutions, entertainment venues, industrial facilities, government buildings, healthcare centers, houses of worship, or transportation hubs—essentially any location that demands reliable critical alerts and public address capabilities using a unified enterprise-class communications platform. The AtlasIED IP-SM is equipped with an 8″ coaxial speaker optimized for voice clarity. Its 18-gauge metal grill ensures durability, and the baffle’s neutral white electrostatic powder coat finish enhances commercial viability.
Each speaker features an omnidirectional subminiature electret condenser microphone for two-way communication or monitoring, positioned alongside the speaker behind the grill’s perforated steel. The speakers come factory-assembled, integrating the speaker, grill, and PCB amp/control board securely mounted together. IP-SM speakers offer auto-provisioning and auto-registration on Voice VLANs, akin to VoIP handsets, ensuring secure and guaranteed communications. Additional features include GPI/O ports for triggering intercom requests, critical alert notifications, or unified connectivity with third-party systems.
