The SD72W speaker represents the latest advancement in Atlas high-performance cone speaker technology, closely aligned with the acoustic properties of the previous C-Series models. This consistency in audio quality ensures that audio installation professionals and sound designers familiar with the Atlas C-Series will find the SD72W delivers a familiar performance. The SD72W is an 8″ (205mm) dual cone speaker with a power capacity of 25 watts and features a 10oz. (260g) ceramic magnet. It incorporates a curvilinear, treated paper cone to minimize harmonic distortion. Additionally, this speaker is equipped with a 1″ diameter copper voice coil and a black anodized aluminum former to enhance power handling. The factory-installed 25/70.7V line matching transformer allows for customizable tap settings ranging from 0.25 watts to 5 watts. Operating with a frequency response range of 45Hz to 19kHz and a sensitivity of 97dB, the SD72W offers a dispersion angle of 105°. The package includes a CRS baffle with hidden speaker mounting studs and screw mount hardware for easy installation. The baffle is designed with standard mounting holes compatible with most Atlas 8″ tile bridges, mounting rings, and enclosures, matching the dimensions of Atlas Model 62-8. The baffle comes in a durable white powder coat epoxy finish.
