AtlasIED presents the SD72W-KIT4, a comprehensive solution for in-ceiling speaker installations, catering to both background music (BGM) and paging applications. This all-in-one package includes components precisely curated to ensure seamless compatibility and performance. The SD72W-KIT4 comprises:
– Four SD72W 8″ Dual Cone In-Ceiling Speakers, each equipped with a 25V/70V, 5-Watt Transformer and 62-8 Baffle.
– Four CS95-8 8″ Recessed Round Stacking Enclosures.
– Four 81-8R 8″ T-Bar Tile Bridges.
– 100 feet of 18 Gauge 2-Conductor Speaker Wire (18-2PX100).
The SD72W speaker is an evolution of Atlas’s high-performance cone speakers, offering sonic qualities akin to the renowned C-Series. This ensures that audio contractors and system designers familiar with the C-Series will experience the same dependable performance with the SD72W. It features a dual cone, 25-watt, 8-inch speaker with a robust 10oz ceramic magnet. Designed for optimal sound quality, it incorporates a curvilinear, treated paper cone to minimize harmonic distortion and a 1-inch copper voice coil on a black anodized aluminum former for enhanced power dissipation. The speaker is integrated with a factory-installed 25/70.7V line matching transformer with adjustable tap selections from 0.25 to 5 watts. It operates across a frequency response range of 45Hz to 19kHz, boasts a sensitivity of 97dB, and offers a dispersion angle of 105°.
The SD72W’s design includes a factory-installed CRS baffle with concealed mounting studs and compatible screw mount hardware. Its standard mounting holes are engineered to align with most AtlasIED 8″ tile bridges, mounting rings, and enclosures. The CS95-8 enclosure is constructed from one-piece CRS with undercoating, patch-jute lining, and a durable epoxy finish. It features four combination conduit knockouts (1/2″ – 3/4″), four J-clips, and two flexible perforated mounting straps. The 81-8R tile bridge is crafted from 24-gauge CRS with a corrosion-resistant electrogalvanized finish, featuring a round cut-out tailored for the CS95-8 enclosure.
