### General Description
The SHS-3T2-HD incorporates a full-range driver within its enclosure to deliver premium sound performance. The transducer is paired with a tunnel waveguide, enhancing audio output. As sound travels through the patented adaptive dispersion lens, it acts as a phase plug, ensuring even frequency distribution and minimizing unwanted “hot spots” typical of traditional speaker systems. This makes the SHS-3T2-HD an excellent choice for audio reinforcement and sound masking applications.
Designed for blind mounting into hard deck ceilings with a clearance of at least 3.5 inches, the SHS-3T2-HD is secured with a specialized expansion ring. When installed, it uses a patented 3-inch dispersion lens with a micro trim ring to conceal the speaker, resembling a high-end ceiling sprinkler head. Through the innovative DesignLab process, custom color matching is available, allowing integrators to submit a ceiling sample for precise color adaptation, ensuring perfect visual harmony.
The SHS-3T2-HD offers flexibility with its Adaptive Dispersion Lens, accommodating various acoustical requirements. For sound masking or low ceiling installations under 10 feet, a 4mm lens with a solid cover is recommended. Mid-range ceilings of 10 to 14 feet benefit from an 8mm dispersion lens with a solid cover, whereas ceiling heights above 14 feet, or those requiring maximum intelligibility, should employ the 4mm direct fire lens with a direct fire grille attachment.
Compatible with 70V / 100V amplifiers via standard 2-conductor commercial speaker wire and featuring a removable 4-pole euro style connector, the SHS-3T2-HD can also be integrated into a High-Definition Acoustical System using Cat5e cable. This setup includes “in” and “out” Cat5e terminals for seamless daisy chaining of speakers to the source unit, optimizing sound distribution across the acoustical environment.
