Description
The weather-resistant SM Series speaker systems provide exceptional sound quality and modern aesthetics within a compact design. Key features include a high-efficiency woofer and a FerroFluid-cooled titanium dome high-frequency device. The speakers deliver vocal and musical clarity through the TRX Control WaveGuide high-frequency director, offering smooth and consistent sound coverage with a 120° horizontal and vertical dispersion. The symmetrical high-frequency section ensures uniform coverage, whether mounted vertically or horizontally. These speakers include a PolyGuard protection circuit to safeguard high-frequency components.
The SM63T model is equipped with a 32-Watt 70.7V/100V line matching transformer, featuring an 8-ohm bypass and a screwdriver-adjustable tap for distributed sound applications. Designed to endure harsh conditions, the new Strategy Series SM63T surface-mount speakers are made with weather-resistant materials, including UV-resistant, talc-impregnated polypropylene cabinets, polypropylene woofer cones, powder-coated aluminum grilles, and brass hardware. The Strategy Series includes a versatile C-bracket for easy vertical or horizontal installation on various surfaces. Before mounting, ensure the chosen site is strong enough to support the SM63T and avoid direct precipitation exposure.
A 5/8″-27 threaded hole on the C-bracket allows for mounting on any standard microphone stand for near-field sound applications. The rear of the SM63T features 2-3/8″ OC brass inserts compatible with an OMNIMOUNT bracket and standard 1/4″-20 inserts for alternate vandal-proof hardware. Input connections are facilitated by a two-pole barrier strip with wire capture caps accommodating up to two #14AWG cables. The unit offers 4, 8, 16, 32-watt, and 8-ohm bypass taps, adjustable via a sealed switch near the input section. A tongue-in-groove cover with a rubber grommet protects input connections and the transformer switch assembly from moisture. These speakers can be painted to suit any architectural design preferences.
