The SM82T model is equipped with an internally mounted 60-watt 70.7V/100V line-matching transformer featuring an 8Ω bypass and screwdriver-adjustable tap selection, perfect for distributed audio applications. Designed to endure extreme conditions, the Strategy Series SM82T surface mount speakers utilize weather-resistant materials, including UV-resistant, talc-impregnated, polypropylene injection-molded cabinets; polypropylene woofer cones; powder-coated aluminum grilles; and all-brass hardware.
These speaker systems come with a versatile C-bracket for simple vertical or horizontal installation on most surfaces. Ensure the mounting location can support the SM82T’s weight and avoid direct precipitation exposure. A 5/8″-27 threaded hole on the C-bracket enables mounting on any standard microphone stand for near-field live sound setups. Additionally, 2-3/8″ OC brass inserts on the back accommodate an OMNIMOUNT bracket for flexible mounting options. All hardware inserts are standard 1/4″-20, allowing easy attachment of off-the-shelf security hardware. Input connectors include a two-pole barrier strip with wire capture caps, supporting up to two #14AWG cables, and screwdriver-selectable power taps for precise configuration.
The speaker features a 1″ exit titanium high-frequency compression driver and a highly efficient 8″ HYCONET treated woofer. The PolyGuard high-frequency circuit diverts damaging transient signals to protect the tweeter.
