Environment-resistant, UL1480 certified loudspeaker systems in the SM Series deliver exceptional sound quality and modern aesthetics in a compact design. These systems feature a highly efficient woofer and a ferrofluid cooled, titanium dome high-frequency driver. With a mathematically engineered, advanced design, the TRX Control WaveGuide™ high-frequency director optimizes vocal and musical clarity, offering smooth and even sound distribution. The symmetrical high-frequency section ensures equal coverage when mounted vertically or horizontally. The PolyGuard™ protection circuit safeguards the high-frequency components. Built for durability in harsh environments, the Strategy Series SM82TUC surface mount loudspeakers are manufactured from weather-resistant materials, including UV-resistant, fiberglass-filled polycarbonate/ABS injection-molded cabinets, HYCONE treated paper woofer cones, powder-coated aluminum grilles, and all-brass hardware. These systems come with a versatile C-bracket for simple vertical or horizontal installation on virtually any surface. A 15mm (0.59″) hole in the C-bracket allows mounting on standard microphone stands for nearfield live sound applications. Additionally, four 4¼” x 2″ (108mm x 51mm) OC brass inserts on the rear of the loudspeakers accommodate OMNIMOUNT™ 30 series brackets, making wall mounting straightforward.
All mounting inserts feature standard 1/4″-20 threads, permitting the use of vandal-proof Torx head or one-way hardware. Input connectors include a two-pole barrier strip with wire capture caps, accepting up to two #16AWG cables. These systems offer screwdriver-selectable wattage taps of 1.9, 3.7, 7.5, 15, 30, and 60 watts via a sealed switch located near the input section on the rear. A conduit-ready, tongue-in-groove cover shields the input connections and transformer switch assembly from moisture. Available in black or white, these systems can be painted to match any architectural needs.
