The SMA-15 boasts a two-way design featuring a 15″ die-cast low-frequency driver alongside a high-performance high-frequency compression driver, all housed within a robust injection-molded enclosure. It includes a built-in 250-watt RMS amplifier to drive the internal speakers and an external passive speaker via rear panel Speak-ON connectors.
Equipped with rear panel inputs, including Mic In XLR, Line In XLR, and Line In RCA, the SMA-15 allows for customizable sound quality through independent gain control and frequency adjustments for each input. It also offers a Line Out XLR to connect an additional SMA speaker for shared audio sources. The Amp Out Speak-ON connection facilitates the linkage of a passive SMP speaker model.
Additionally, it incorporates a -6dB crossover point at 1575Hz, with a high-pass crossover section featuring a Polymeric Positive Temperature Coefficient resettable switch. This switch guards the high-frequency driver against damage from excessive power, ensuring sustained reliability and performance.
