The Electro-Voice® ZX1 sets the benchmark in uncompromising audio performance and versatility for compact sound reinforcement solutions. Its innovative enclosure, crafted from injection-molded high-impact polypropylene, ensures exceptional durability. The design of the enclosure geometry maximizes rigidity and acoustical performance. By incorporating a velocity compensated port design, this loudspeaker overcomes the limitations of many compact speakers, delivering outstanding low-frequency response without vent noise. The ZX1 features a long excursion, high-output 8″ woofer with a weather-resistant treated cone, ensuring smooth low-frequency performance and reliable operation. An advanced crossover network perfectly integrates this with the DH2005, a 1.25″ voice coil titanium diaphragm true compression driver, achieving maximum output and extended frequency response. The speaker also includes full-bandwidth overload protection for dependable, long-term performance without audible distortion. The horn offers 90° x 50° coverage, with the added advantage of rotation, enabling both horizontal and vertical orientation for optimal coverage flexibility. The molded polymer enclosure is inherently resistant to water, and it includes an integrated pole mount, a convenient pocket handle, and a wedge-angle design that allows use as a stage monitor.
