The M1000 Sound Masking Speaker Assembly is engineered to precisely deliver the necessary sound masking spectrum into plenum spaces. Its innovative 734 cubic inch square enclosure is optimized to provide extensive low-frequency performance. Included is a high-performance 8″ dual cone loudspeaker, tailored for optimal acoustic output. The system features a high-efficiency 70.7V internal transformer paired with an external tap selector switch, facilitating seamless audio system tuning. For straightforward installation, the unique suspension system incorporates (2) collapsible plated hangers, enabling versatile upward, downward, or lateral firing configurations. Factory-installed hangers ensure they ship flat, simplifying logistics. Complying with local codes, the unit comes with an advanced cover that includes both knockouts and a strain relief, supporting the use of either rigid or flexible conduit and facilitating “through” connections on the detachable plate. It holds UL 2043 certification for air handling spaces. Optional installation is streamlined with the 78″ (2m) suspension chain system (part MCHAIN72), which allows effortless mounting and height modification of the M1000. Secure speaker cable termination is ensured by an integrated wire strain relief, strategically positioned on top of the enclosure.
