The AXIS Digital Audio Extension Kit, when integrated with the AXIS T8355 Digital Microphone, enables the transmission of digital audio signals over a network cable for distances up to 100 meters (109 yards). This setup allows the cable to be positioned safely alongside power cables and those transmitting high-frequency signals. Such capabilities make the microphone ideal for surveillance environments where network devices are located remotely in control rooms, away from the audio source, as frequently encountered in casino and airport security monitoring.
