The 571 (571D/571C) digital communication station is a versatile touchscreen device engineered for seamless integration with GLOBALCOM Series Announcement Control Systems, specifically for initiating audio paging and transmitting messages. This programmable device offers adaptability for various installations, compatible with three distinct mounting kits: the 571MK-DT for desktop applications, the 571MK-S for surface mounting, and the 571MK-F for flush mounting configurations. For pre-construction scenarios, the 571MK-MRH and 571MK-HRV mud ring brackets complement the 571MK-F kit. The product is equipped with a handheld microphone featuring magnetic attachment and includes a removable steel plate to conceal the built-in microphone strain relief. Additionally, a security screw is provided to enhance restriction against unauthorized access to the steel plate and microphone connector. For connectivity and power flexibility, the 571 offers a redundant PoE connection with an optional 24/48V DC auxiliary power option for non-PoE switches. The included microphone’s omnidirectional element mitigates proximity effect, which typically results in overly bassy audio. An integrated beeper and touchscreen interface facilitate user guidance during paging operations. With GCK, creating template screens for paging or triggering prerecorded messages is straightforward, supporting various programmable events such as audio routing, visual alerts, and intercom requests. The device’s access can be controlled via a 4-digit PIN, allowing different user-specific templates based on the entered PIN. Furthermore, the 571 is fully compatible with AtlasIED’s FAS (Flight Announcement System) via the GCK plugin, enabling the loading of specialized FAS templates for flight boarding, status checks, updates, and general flight messaging. Users can restrict access to flight templates using criteria such as gate information, airline, and/or a secure PIN login, ensuring tailored interface access.
