Description
The RadioRA 2 Hybrid Keypads serve as a combination of a dimmer and keypad in one unit, ideal for lighting control retrofit installations by eliminating the need for separate devices. These keypads feature a neutral wire terminal, accommodating both two-wire and neutral wire setups. Connecting a neutral wire allows for a lower minimum load and ensures functional keypad operation even when the load is absent or the bulb has failed. When available in the wallbox, the neutral wire should be connected to the silver terminal on the keypad; otherwise, the terminal should be securely tightened without a connection. These Hybrid Keypads can be used in single or multi-location configurations alongside a Remote Dimmer, making them versatile in lighting control systems.
The RadioRA 2 Hybrid Keypads offer advanced lighting control features such as fade-on/fade-off and rapid full-on functionality. The design includes large, user-friendly buttons, and a unique backlit engraving option for enhanced readability, day or night. The rounded buttons allow for an upward engraving display, improving visibility. A Front Accessible Service Switch (FASS) is included to ensure safe lamp replacement.
For installation, Lutron Designer wallplates (Claro or Satin Colors) are required, as the keypad’s mechanical design is exclusively compatible with Lutron products, and not with other manufacturers’ wallplates. These stylish wallplates snap into place without visible attachments and are available in a variety of colors with customizable engraving options for clear function identification of each button.
