The compact AXIS FA1105 Sensor Unit is perfectly suited for discreet indoor video surveillance in environments such as retail spaces, financial institutions, and transportation hubs, as well as for integration into machinery. Thanks to its miniature form factor, this sensor unit can be installed in narrow locations or mounted unobtrusively at eye level for optimal facial recognition. When flush-mounted into walls, ceilings, or metal panels, only a small aperture for the lens remains visible.
Designed to connect with the separately sold AXIS FA54 Main Unit, the AXIS FA1105 offers high-definition 1080p resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels) and a generous 111ยบ horizontal field of view to cover wide areas. The sensor unit supports Forensic Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) technology, ensuring that details are captured in high-contrast lighting scenarios, such as backlighting where subjects stand against bright backgrounds. This technology emphasizes darker areas, rendering colors and details distinctly, and is optimized to eliminate motion artifacts when tracking fast-moving objects. In low light conditions, the AXIS FA1105 delivers superior color video quality with minimal noise.
Part of the FA Series, the AXIS FA1105 employs a modular network camera concept, dividing the camera into a sensor unit (consisting of a lens and image sensor) and a main unit (the camera body), linked by a cable. This versatile design permits the small sensor unit to be installed as desired, while the main unit can be positioned in a location that accommodates it.
The unit includes an 8-meter (26-foot) detachable cable for connection to the AXIS FA54 Main Unit. An optional 15-meter (49-foot) cable is also available. Additionally, the AXIS FA1105 is supplied with a mounting bracket and locking nuts for straightforward installation on glass, plastic, or metal surfaces.
