Description
**System Overview**
The Dahua DH-IPC-PDBW5831N-B360 Multi-flex™ IP Camera is designed with four (4) 1/2.8-inch 2 MP Progressive-scan STARVIS™ CMOS Sensors, each paired with a 2.7 to 12 mm motorized lens. These sensors can be individually positioned and configured, offering versatile, multi-directional video surveillance that effectively replaces several single-sensor cameras. This feature makes it an excellent choice for extensive area monitoring. The camera boasts Wide Dynamic Range capabilities, a True Day/Night IR Cut filter, and IP67 Ingress protection, along with the ability to operate in extreme temperatures, ensuring high-quality images in diverse lighting and environmental conditions.
**Functions**
**Starlight Technology**
For applications in low-light conditions, Dahua’s Starlight Ultra-low Light Technology provides industry-leading light sensitivity, capturing detailed images even in minimal light. The camera employs a range of optical features to balance light across the scene, producing clear footage in dim environments.
**Ultra Wide Dynamic Range**
Employing cutting-edge wide dynamic range (WDR) technology, the camera delivers vibrant images under extreme lighting contrasts. In settings transitioning between bright and dark conditions, the Ultra WDR (140 dB) optimizes exposure in both the light and shadowed areas simultaneously, outputting consistently sharp video.
**Intelligent Video System (IVS)**
The Intelligent Video System (IVS) integrates advanced video analytic algorithms for enhanced scene monitoring, including Tripwire and intrusion detection capabilities. Cameras equipped with IVS quickly and accurately address monitoring activities, while providing tamper detection by identifying significant scene changes and issuing alerts for inspection.
**High Efficiency Video Coding (H.265)**
The H.265 video compression standard significantly doubles data compression efficiency at comparable video quality levels, or markedly enhances video quality at the same bit rate compared to older compression technologies. This efficiency is achieved through advanced pattern comparison, motion vector prediction, motion region merging, and sample-adaptive offset filtering techniques.
**Smart H.265+**
Smart H.265+ is an optimized version of the H.265 codec, employing a scene-adaptive encoding strategy, dynamic GOP, dynamic ROI, flexible multi-frame reference structure, and smart noise reduction. These enhancements allow for high-quality video delivery with minimal network impact, reducing bit rate and storage needs by up to 70% in comparison to standard H.265 compression.
