Stand-alone Fast & Gigabit Ethernet PoE / PoE+ Media Converter
The SGPAT Series is an advanced 10/100/1000Base-T to 100/1000Base-SX/LX Gigabit Ethernet Media Converter, designed to seamlessly integrate various network cabling types while supplying PoE power through its RJ-45 port. As a Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) device, this media converter merges data from a fiber optic link with a 56VDC power supply to deliver both power and data to Powered Devices (PD) via twisted pair cabling, adhering to the IEEE 802.3af PoE and IEEE 802.3at PoE+ standards.
Available in 2-port, 3-port, and 4-port configurations, the media converter incorporates PD signature sensing and power monitoring capabilities. It also features robust over-current protection, under-current protection, and fault protection inputs. The Active Link Pass Through (ALPT) functionality is supported, an enhanced automatic version of Link Pass Through (LPT), enabling the detection of Receive (Rx) signal loss on either fiber or copper ports and communicating these failures to end devices to prevent link isolation. During a Link Pass Through incident, the Auto Power Reset function restores power to the end PD, ensuring readiness once the LPT event is resolved.
