Description
The eBridge400PCRM and eBridge100TM are Ethernet adapters and media converters specifically designed for CAT5e to coaxial cable communication, delivering data and power in a PoE+ compliant format over coaxial cables. This paired solution facilitates the rapid transmission of 100Base-T Full Duplex Ethernet signals via coaxial infrastructure. The eBridge400PCRM, a four-port receiver, receives power from any UL Listed PoE midspan or endspan product, like the NetWay8M or NetWay16M, and transfers this power over coax to the eBridge100TM. This configuration enables the eBridge400PCRM to be effectively managed remotely, allowing users to reset cameras from a distance. The eBridge100TM then supplies PoE+ compliant power to PoE-enabled cameras or IP devices.
These plug-and-play units are ideal for upgrading systems from analog to IP cameras or devices using existing coaxial cables, thus reducing costs and labor associated with installing new network cabling. Moreover, the solution extends data transmission and power delivery over coaxial distances up to 300 meters, compared to the 100-meter limit of traditional Ethernet. Considering up to 100 meters of structured cabling at each end, the maximum distance from head-end equipment to a PoE camera or device is 500 meters.
Applications include retrofitting digital IP cameras into existing analog CCTV systems and supporting Megapixel, HD720, HD1080, and VGA (SD) cameras. The solution is also ideal for extending network link distances in industrial settings and upgrading CCTV coaxial infrastructures to digital networks across various sectors such as retail, hospitality, arenas, casinos, airports, schools, hospitals, and transportation.
