The FMCI-PG1 and FMCI-PG1M are dedicated single-channel Ethernet media converters, while the FMCI-PG2 is a dual-channel Ethernet media converter. These industry-grade devices handle Ethernet rates of 10/100/1000 Mbps, converting them to a 1000 Mbps optical Ethernet rate. This conversion utilizes either one or two optical fibers, contingent on the specific optical module deployed. Please note that interchangeable small form-factor pluggable (FSFP) transceivers are sold separately.
Specifically engineered for robust industrial conditions, the FMCI-PG Series functions seamlessly without the need for electrical or optical adjustments, supporting plug-and-play capability. The FMCI-PG1 and FMCI-PG2 offer flexibility in installation, allowing either rack or direct surface mounting, while the FMCI-PG1M is designed for wall mounting, ideal for constricted spaces.
The FMCI-PG Series is capable of withstanding extreme temperature variations, with built-in indicator LEDs to show operating status. To power the FMCI-PG Series units, an external power source is necessary, such as the recommended FEXTPS fiber external power supply.
The series is particularly suited for transporting Ethernet-compatible IP camera surveillance video over optical networks, making it an excellent choice for applications in transportation systems, airports, and academic campuses.
