The American Fibertek 46 Series facilitates the transmission and reception of dual copper 10/100 BaseT Ethernet signals via RJ45 ports, alongside a single optical 100 Base-FX signal over one or two multimode fibers. This optical networking solution is constructed with two units that establish a reliable point-to-point communication link.
Optimized for transparency, this system features auto-negotiation capabilities that automatically configure the unit for the appropriate Ethernet speed (10/100 BaseT). Its auto MDI/MDIX functionality removes the necessity for crossover cables, enhancing installation flexibility. The integrated diagnostic indicators offer a straightforward visual representation of system status, ensuring efficient network management.
These networking units are available as standalone modules or as rack cards, suitable for installation in the American Fibertek Card Cage model SR-20/2, providing versatile deployment options to fit various industry needs.
