The American Fibertek 46-PoE Series is engineered to facilitate the transmission and reception of dual copper 10/100 Base-T Ethernet signals via RJ45 ports, along with a single optical 100 Base-FX over one or two multimode fibers. This networking solution consists of two units, establishing a robust point-to-point communications link.
The 46-PoE Series efficiently delivers power to network devices through RJ45 ports over the copper connection. Each RJ45 port can supply 802.3af (15 watts) to connected devices, and a single port can deliver high power 802.3at (30 watts) to one device. An external PS-48V-60W power supply is necessary for operating the PoE module.
Engineered for transparency, the system features auto-negotiation capabilities, automatically configuring the unit for optimal speed (10/100 Base-T). The Auto MDI/MDIX functionality eliminates the requirement for crossover cables, while diagnostic indicators provide immediate visual feedback on system status, enhancing network management and troubleshooting efficiency.
