The American Fibertek 46 Series is engineered to transmit and receive two copper 10/100 BaseT Ethernet signals through the RJ45 ports and one optical 100 Base-FX signal over one or two multimode fibers. This setup includes two units that establish a point-to-point communication link. Designed for full transparency, the system features auto-negotiation, which automatically configures the units for optimal speed (10/100 BaseT). Its Auto MDI/MDIX functionality eliminates the need for crossover cables, while diagnostic indicators offer a quick visual status update for enhanced system monitoring.
