Description
The American Fibertek solution facilitates the transmission and reception of two copper-based 10/100 Base-T Ethernet signals via RJ45 ports, coupled with two optical 100 BaseFX signals over one or two multimode fibers. This system comprises multiple units that establish a comprehensive communications link. The device also supplies power to connected equipment through the RJ45 ports over copper connections. Both RJ45 ports are capable of delivering low power, supporting 802.3af (15W) or 802.3at (30W) to powered devices (PDs). An external power supply is necessary for operation. Designed with full transparency, the system features auto-negotiation capabilities that automatically configure the device to the correct speed (10/100 Base-T). Additionally, auto MDI/MDIX functionality removes the requirement for crossover cables. Diagnostic indicators provide immediate visual feedback on system status.
