Description
The Ethernet media converter series functions as a one-channel Ethernet electrical-to-optical media conversion solution. These auto-negotiating converters accept a 10/100 Mbps electrical input, transforming it into a 100 Mbps optical output. The series supports both multimode and single-mode optical fibers and utilizes SC and ST optical connectors with one or two fiber configurations. Featuring LED indicators for operational status, these units are designed to be robust and environmentally hardened, requiring no electrical or optical adjustments, thus offering a Plug and Play experience. The standard-sized models accommodate either wall or rack mounting options. Non-PoE models are powered using an included DC power supply, while PoE variants adhere to IEEE 802.3at standards as Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE), delivering a maximum power output of 30 watts, which is ideal for remote equipment with significant power demands.
For standard-sized units, they can be easily plugged into compatible racks or function as standalone modules. Small-sized units are exclusively standalone modules.
