The Ethernet media converter lineup features single-channel Ethernet electrical-to-optical media converters, strategically designed to address network infrastructure needs. Engineered for auto-negotiation, these units seamlessly accept a 10/100 Mbps electrical input, transforming it into a 100 Mbps optical output. Leveraging both multimode and single-mode optical fiber, as well as single-fiber and dual-fiber SC and ST optical connectors, these converters ensure versatile connectivity. Operational status is easily monitored through LED indicators. The converters boast an environmentally hardened design, eliminating the need for electrical or optical adjustments, embodying true Plug and Play functionality. Their adaptable form factor allows for either wall or rack mounting. Non-PoE variants come with a DC power supply, while PoE models are fully compliant with IEEE 802.3at standards, operating as Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) with up to 30 watts, optimized for applications demanding higher power consumption by remote devices.
The standard-size models within this series can be directly integrated into compatible rack systems or used as standalone modules, while the compact models are designed exclusively for standalone operation.
