Description

The Ethernet media converter series comprises one-channel Ethernet electrical-to-optical media converters. These devices feature auto-negotiation, accommodating a 10/100 Mbps electrical input and converting it to a 100 Mbps optical output. Utilizing both multimode and single-mode optical fiber, as well as SC and ST optical connectors for one and two fiber configurations, these converters are designed for versatile connectivity. Operational status is easily monitored via LED indicators. All models are built to be environmentally hardened, requiring no electrical or optical adjustments, ensuring a Plug and Play experience. The standard-sized units are flexible for installation, supporting both wall and rack mounting. Non-PoE models are powered by the included DC power supply, while PoE models provide IEEE 802.3at Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) compliance with up to 30 watts of power, making them suitable for applications with high remote power demands. The TMC-F Series standard size units are compatible with both rack and standalone installations, whereas the TMC-F-M small size units function exclusively as standalone modules.
