Description
The TMC-GSFP Ethernet media converters efficiently handle electrical-to-optical signal transformation by accepting a 10/100 or 1000 Mbps electrical input and converting it to a selectable 100 or 1000 Mbps optical output, using a dip switch for configuration. They also convert a 100/1000 Mbps optical input back to a 10/100/1000 Mbps electrical output. The copper interface side supports “Auto-Negotiating” to enhance compatibility. These devices accommodate either one or two optical fibers, contingent on the choice of a separately purchased SFP optical module.
For Power over Ethernet (PoE) requirements, the TMC-GSFPPOEM model complies with the IEEE802.3at standard, delivering up to 30 watts of PoE+ power.
The product lineup includes compact single-channel models, TMC-GSFPM and TMC-GSFPPOEM, along with a standard-size single-channel model, TMC-GSFP. The standard size variant can be directly integrated into the SBP-C14 / SBP-C03 Rack or function as a standalone unit, whereas the compact versions are designed exclusively for standalone operation.
