VIVOTEK’s AW-FGT-260D-380 switch is tailored for IP surveillance applications and incorporates DIP switch functionality to offer three modes: Standard (ST) mode, Standard VLAN (ST VLAN) mode, and Extend (EX) mode. In Standard mode, it supports 802.3af/at PoE features, while the Extend mode enables data and power transmission through a single cable over distances of up to 250 meters at 10 Mbps via eight EX ports, ideal for long-range PoE IP cameras. The device is engineered to handle a broader input voltage range with an additional 10% voltage tolerance (280VAC for 4 hours, 300VAC for 1 minute), and it provides robust protection against lightning surges and power spikes. This reduces the cost and hassle of replacing damaged units due to unstable external AC power sources. Additional features include extending PoE capabilities up to 250 meters at 10 Mbps and 6KV surge protection.
