Stand-alone Fast Ethernet PoE Media Converter 10/100Base-TX PoE PSE to 100Base-FX
The SPOEB Series is an advanced 10/100 Ethernet copper-to-fiber Power over Ethernet (PoE) media converter that empowers enterprises to deliver power to network devices via existing CAT5 cabling infrastructure. This AC-powered PoE media converter integrates data transmitted over fiber optic links with -48 VDC power, supplying power to Data Terminal Equipment (DTE) Power Devices (PD) through unshielded twisted pair cables. As a Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE), these PoE converters are fully compliant with IEEE 802.3af standards and compatible with Powered Devices (PD). Enhanced with PD signature sensing and power monitoring features, these converters ensure robust Over-Current Protection, Under-Current Detection, and Fault Protection Input. This feature-rich model offers flexibility by allowing users to enable or disable specific functions and manually set port capabilities. Furthermore, with the PSE/LPT switch activated, in the event of Fiber RX loss, the PSE power output on the UTP port is temporarily disabled for 2 seconds to facilitate remote device re-initialization, commonly referred to as Powered Device Reset. The PoE converter seamlessly supports IEEE 802.3af standard-compliant devices and is versatile enough to inject power through data pairs or spare pairs of the MDI.
